"This product focused on the unmeet needs of over a 50 million people consumer segment which had been ignored. She also continued to focus on home and critical care nursing issues of patient care."

Her primary focus in 1980s was in National and State Public Health Policy where as a governor appointed member of the Council charged with establishing NJ State policy on AIDs including, universal precautions, patient rights, advanced health care directives.

A key element of her success was being one of the first to ask patients to permit her to sit one-on-one with AIDS patients and their doctors and families to hear, talk with and learn how best to develop support policies and strategies to build the foundation for statewide policies.
